A Circle is a private group where members can share location, check-ins, and safety updates with each other. Think family, roommates, or close friends.
Do I have to pay to join a Circle?
Nope! Joining a Circle is completely free. You only need a paid plan if you want to create and manage your own Circle.
Can people see my location without permission?
Never. Location sharing is always mutual — you choose who sees your location, and they have to share theirs with you too.
Is MyCircles safe to use?
Yes. We never share your data with anyone outside your Circles — and we never sell your data, ever. Everything is opt-in, secure, and built for peace of mind — not surveillance.
What exactly am I buying?
You're paying to create and manage your own Circle. All users — free or paid — get the same core features like real-time tracking, alerts, and location sharing. The difference? Free users can join Circles, but only paid users can create and manage them.
Will this drain my phone battery?
Nope. We’re lighter than most tracking apps. You can also adjust how often your location updates to save even more power.
How does the app protect children’s data?
MyCircles complies with all legal requirements in the COPPA. Each child user is also required to be associated with a family member or guardian. That family member or guardian manages which Circles their child can be in and who can see their child’s location data. This way, each child’s parent or guardian has full control over their child’s account.
What happens when someone says "I'm in Trouble"?
When someone taps “I’m in Trouble”, they can choose to call emergency services, text them with their location, or simply alert their Circle without contacting authorities. Everyone in their Circle is notified that they've marked themselves unsafe. If they’ve chosen to share their location, other Circle members can see where they are — and get directions — just like at any other time.
